Richard Fox

Richard Fox is a partner in The Learning Corporation. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a member of the Institute of Management Consultants an associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a credentialed coach with the International Coach Federation and a Master NLP practitioner.

He helped create The Learning Corporation after a successful period as a partner with KPMG, having played a leading role with them in setting up an office and developing  a thriving client base.

Richard helps leaders and managers create and sustain an environment in which people can express themselves, optimise their potential and do their best work.

He is currently piloting projects in (a) authenticity and authentic leadership, and (b) meaning and purpose and how to overcome individual and corporate self-limiting beliefs.

He is an experienced advisor, facilitator and coach with specialist skills in the key areas of developing people in line with strategy; collaborative leadership, talent development and building strategic alliances, partnerships and networks.

As an experienced facilitator, Richard also works with organisations facilitating workshops on e.g. personal effectiveness, building networking capability, visioning, strategic thinking, managing change, leadership, coaching and mentoring, organisational learning, team working, creativity and innovation.

Richard enjoys building and developing businesses and is retained as a non-executive director or executive coach by a number of local businesses.  He is regarded for his breadth and depth of business knowledge, gained in his 30 years as a business improvement specialist.

Current engagements include helping a worldwide technology company improve the effectiveness of its alliances. delivering leadership and coaching programmes for a global services business and providing organisational development advice to a university.

Apart from the enjoyment gained in his work, Richard has a passion for trekking, choral singing, travel, sport, reading and socialising.  He is a member of St. Saviour’s Church, Guildford.

Ray Lamb

Ray Lamb is highly skilled and experienced as a facilitator, consultant, trainer and executive coach, who has worked with business leaders and their teams at all levels, supporting them to develop appropriate skills for a successful business, as well as to achieve their personal goals.

He has worked with business leaders in North America, Asia, China, Europe and South America.  Ray has also worked with many corporate clients in the development of their leadership and coaching skills.

Ray is passionate about bringing coaching to business leaders, and about developing a ‘new leadership’ behaviour based on collaboration, connection and community. 

Ray personally led the design and development of facilitation, coaching and leadership skills programmes, and has trained over 1,600 managers and professionals in these areas worldwide.

Ray has applied these skills directly back to the business by working with numerous teams and individuals, helping the achievement of business and personal goals, as well as enhancing their people management skills.

Ray has worked as a mentor, coach and assessor for businesses and individuals. He has led many business coaching classes in the UK and USA, including numerous ‘train the trainer’ workshops which enable others to facilitate the development of coaching skills in business leaders.

Ray has many years experience in corporate life where he worked as a senior manager leading a large team in customer service, before focusing on management, leadership and executive development as a consultant, trainer and coach. Ray has spent the last 12 years in this area of work, including an 18 month assignment to the USA working with senior executive teams who were focussed on business transformation.

Ray is a Graduate of the Open University, a Member of the Institute of Management, (MCMI) and the International Coaching Federation, (ICF).  He is also a Faculty Member and Senior Associate of Corporate Coach U International and on the faculty at KPMG where he delivers their Advanced Coaching and Performance Excellence Programme. He is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the ICF and has several executive coaching clients in a personal practice.

Melanie Pitcairn

Mel has a versatile and intuitive approach to working with individuals and teams to achieve results and performance levels which exceed expectations.

Hearing the messages behind the crackle, she effectively facilitates people to find alternative ways through complex situations.  Working with integrity and courage, she coaches individuals and teams to find their own answers and align confidently to business goals, thereby creating strong, flexible and resilient organisations.

Previously Head of HRD for a pioneering satellite engineering company, facilitating its development from a research programme to an internationally acknowledged leader (Times Top 100 Employers), she successfully combines proven people skills with business rigour. 

Early on in her career Mel’s enthusiasm and capacity for both effective commercial and people judgments led her to establish her own award-winning Recruitment Consultancy, from which she was invited to take part in a national work-place think-tank. 

Mel understands people’s needs and with her experience facilitates sustainable change for individuals and teams through:-

Executive Coaching : eg Retail Director at J Sainsbury during cultural change programme.

Group Facilitation : Ran significant change programme for Senior Finance Team over 6 month period whilst relocating and restructuring services, improving employee morale and performance.

Leadership Programmes – Team Leadership Development Programme; designed and delivered to Team Leaders across innovative engineering company whilst Head of HRD, creating focus and conviction.

Performance  improvement through effective individual and team alignment, clarifying and energising people towards agreed outcomes.

Targeted and timely recruitment for ‘critical’ posts.  Mel’s broad based experience of different recruitment markets and executive search techniques (including internationally) ensures effective solutions.

Implementation of Organisational Development objectives  through capability assessment )variety of tools) and development of ‘key’ individuals, plus identifying where new talent is required and identifying market approaches to secure the ‘right’ person or people.  

Mel uses her coaching skills to not only challenge and inspire others, but also to encourage periods of guided reflection, to illuminate and energise their thinking.  Using different tools Mel effectively facilitates people to find their own answers and align confidently with business goals, often in complex situations.
